PERSISTENCE

Digital persistence is at the core of Mixed Reality and the design of the Landscape was born from this principle. This allows digital content to become a direct extension of your physical environment and exist side-by-side with your other belongings. By mapping a space and tethering content, we minimize UI and focus on experience.

EXPERIENCES

The Landscape can contain many applications at a time and provides a harmonious framework for unified interactions and visual treatments. With these capabilities, users can populate their spaces with passive content or multitask several apps at once. App developers benefit from the refined patterns and interactions that the system provides.

The promise of the Landscape affords interactions with multiple users at once or even with remote participants. When friends can see and experience Mixed Reality content together, the content becomes even more real.

The Landcape is designed to be intelligent and contextually responsive. Although we can add digital content to our spaces, these spaces can also reveal content back to us. As the Magic Leap system builds a semantic understanding of the world, those tags can make interactions and discovery even more effortless.

PRISMS

Application prisms are at the core of the interaction model and all apps are held within these containers. Prisms provide a standard and consistent way for users to manage and interact with content. Their bounding boxes allow for 6dof and headpose focus, and also create a standard framework for showing menus, highlights and other notation.
